On Thursday, 14 September our CEO Xavier Vanhonsebrouck welcomed the players and staff of Filou Handball Izegem. After a spectacular season, the local handball club is the first team from West and East Flanders to be promoted to the BENE-League Handball. And that with Filou as the new title sponsor.
The press conference began with the unveiling of the brand-new shirt in the familiar blue and white club colours. Filou logo stands out loud and proud on the chest as the brand spanking new title sponsor of Filou Handball Izegem
Chair André Vangroenweghe took the time to thank Xavier for the sponsorship. ‘The increased sponsor budget will go to the club operations. We have invested in the support structure, so now we have four new physiotherapists and a doctor who serve both our first team as well as the senior and the youth teams.’

Holding position in BENE-League
Six Belgian and six Dutch teams fight it out against each other in the BENE-League Handball. What stands out is that the other Belgian teams come from Limburg and Wallonia.
