Unwrap the myth and become part of a
tradition of celebration
and enjoyment.
Celebrate life
to the fullest
Since 1930, we have celebrated the tradition of mixed fermentation, maturing our beer in oak barrels for at least 18 months to develop its iconic, slightly sour and fruity character. With the beer’s blended flavours evoking a winey flavour profile, we decided to name our thirst-quenching brew Bacchus – after the Roman god of wine and celebration.
Bacchus offer respite in a world that is in constant flux, inviting you to celebrate life’s big and small moments with the people you love. With every sip, you return to what really matters: sharing heartfelt stories, reliving unforgettable moments and creating new memories.
Cheers to life, and don’t forget to enjoy all that life has to offer to the fullest!
Endless celebrations
More than just beer:

The Bacchus Chronicle
Every bottle of Bacchus is wrapped in a paper wrapper that has been carefully designed to enhance the Bacchus drinking experience. Once the wrapper is ‘developed’, we enter a world of stories and mythology: The Bacchus Chronicle.
The Bacchus Chronicle is a collection of semi-fictional newspaper articles printed inside the wrapper of each Bacchus bottle. The articles tell the story of some key events from the year when a specific Bacchus flavour was launched, but with a unique twist: Bacchus plays a role in each story.
By placing Bacchus in the middle of famous historical scenes – albeit in tongue-in-cheek fashion – we are highlighting the timeless revelry and zest for life our beer brand represents.
The subtle presence of the leopard on our packaging reminds us to embrace the wild, the unknown and the magical in life.
