Bacchus Raspberry is a reddish-brown beer with a thick, light beige head. The aroma is enticingly fresh and fruity, with pronounced notes of raspberry and subtle hints of caramel malts. The gentle sweetness slowly transitions into a fruity wave of ripe raspberries, followed by delicate sour notes. On the finish, the sweetness of the raspberries dominates, with the acidity slowly fading and giving way to a smooth, fruity aftertaste.
Appearance
A reddish-brown beer with a thick, light beige head with fine bubbles.
Aroma
The beer is fresh and fruity on the nose, with prominent notes of raspberry. There is also a slight undertone of caramel malts, as well as a subtle level of sourness.
Taste
The initial sweetness persists throughout, accompanied by a fruity wave that places raspberries front and centre. The flavour develops into a pleasant sourness, resulting from a combination of the base beer and the raspberries. On the finish, the silky mouthfeel of the raspberries takes the place of the sourness, making for a wonderfully easy-drinking beer.
Flemish Old Brown aged in oak barrels with raspberries, providing a fresh fruitiness throughout.
