More than a beer brand
Around Kasteel’s 30th anniversary as a leading beer brand, CEO Xavier Vanhonsebrouck had the ambitious idea to create a film that would capture the impact sipping a glass of Kasteel has on people. In Geronimo, a production company known for producing high-end TV shows, films and commercials, Xavier found a like-minded partner.
The collaboration on our international campaign ultimately led to a partnership with and around Geronimo’s brand-new and exciting game show ‘Destination X’, awarded the 2023 Rose D’Or (Golden Rose) award. Watch Seasons One and Two now on VTM and VTM Go.

France
Enjoying a Kasteel Rouge at the end of a long working day? Good choice, Pierre! In this video, we follow a French baker, as he relaxes with a glass of Kasteel Rouge at the end of a busy day. For the filming, we travelled to Tarascon, a charming town in the south of France, located between Avignon and Arles. France is our largest export market, so it certainly had to be included in this campaign.

Israel
Art and Kasteel Rouge: a perfect match, according to Samuel. Since its launch in 2007, Kasteel Rouge has been very popular in Israel. You can find our strong fruit beer everywhere, including in Jerusalem. There, we follow an artist inspired by the sights of the Old City for a new drawing. Once finished, he is pictured enjoying a well-deserved Kasteel Rouge.

No pints of ‘the black stuff’ for Freya. Instead, she opts for a Kasteel Rouge. Sláinte! With this in mind, we crossed the Channel to film in Cork, Ireland, where our story follows a shepherdess who, after a long day in the hills, heads to an Irish pub. There, she orders a Kasteel Rouge instead of a pint. Fun fact: our manager Xavier Vanhonsebrouck appears in the video, and the Kasteel Rouge is pulled by his daughter Michelle.

The Netherlands
It wouldn’t be a holiday without Kasteel Rouge. Enjoy, Bas! As one of our neighbours, like France, the Netherlands is an important market for our specialty beers. To that end, we visited a campsite near Rotterdam to capture a moment of true wealth with Kasteel Rouge. Our northern neighbours are known the world over for their love of camping… and orange. So naturally, we took the orange cooler and parasol with us on our trip!
